Our family of 6 went to do the Pots and Coffee 2 hour session on the potter's wheel at IMS Ceramics. We received a very warm welcome from Iona with snacks and coffee when we arrived.
With some of us being first timer's on the potters wheel, Iona firstly demonstrates how to make your choice of pot. Then we got cracking.
We all had a brilliant time, it was really good fun and we all enjoyed the whole experience.
There are all sorts of dishes, jugs, vases etc to be made and sometimes 'unique sculptures' just seem to happen... for those of us who aren't quite as arty as others!
My daughter enjoyed it so much that she has already purchased a mini potters wheel for herself!
Value for money is great too! We chose 2 pots we each made and, in a few weeks, once they've been through the process of firing and glazing etc, Iona will post them to us.
Even if throwing pots isn't your thing, a trip to Iona's gallery shed is well worth a visit. she is extremely talented and⁶ produces the most amazing items.
